Icone St Come et St Damien

The "Saint Côme and Saint Damien" parish was founded in 1979 by Stéphane Father (currently Métropolite of the autonomous church of Estonia) and by one person from Avignon (introduced the same year into the orthodoxe Church).

Ten faithful (Greeks for the majority) met once per month with a priest of passage, generally with Stéphane Father, in a Catholic vault during a few times, then in an independent room. Stephane Father was a general vicar of Monseigneur Mélétios, Métropolite of the oecumenical patriarchate in France.

After 25 years, during which the number of faithful, in particular of French origin, grew gradually, a building was bought and improved by the community to become the current church.

Here we would like to thank all priests who have worked to sustain the parish since its inception (in chronological order):

Stéphane R P, Co-founder of the parish. Episcopal Vicar Mg Mélétios Metropolitan Exarch of the Patriarchate of Constantinople (now Metropolitan of Tallinn), RP Andre Borrelly Patriarchate of Constantinople, Archimandrite Victor, Father Higoumène Monastery of Our Lady of the Dormition Patriarchate of Constantinople, RP Stephan Headley Moscow Patriarchate, RP Denis Guillaume Patriarchate of Constantinople, RP Henri de France Patriarchate of Antioch, RP Michel Tirrier Patriarchate of Romania, RP Emmanuel Viala Moscow Patriarchate.

Vespers all take place 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 5th Saturday of the month at 6 PM.

Matines and Liturgy take place all 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 5th Sunday of the month respectively at 9H30 and 10 AM.

The Parish preserves its oecumenical orientation and accomodates in its centre several nationalities. Indeed, the "Our Father" is recited in 8 languages by the faithful ones: French, Russian, Greek, Bulgarian, Rumanian, Macedonian, Arabic and English.

The characteristic of the parish : to gather the faithful ones which comes often by far !
